While all SEDA questions are designed based on EPS-TOPIK standards, they focus on practical Korean language skills used in everyday life and workplace settings.

So even if you're not preparing for the EPS-TOPIK, SEDA is a great tool for anyone looking to improve their Korean.

Why do I need to select an industry type when signing up?

The EPS-TOPIK has different minimum passing scores depending on the industry sector.

SEDA asks for your industry selection so we can provide accurate pass/fail predictions after you complete a practice test.

If you didn't select an industry during sign-up, you can set it anytime in My Page → Choose Industry.

How do I change the language in the app?

You can change your language (native language) anytime.

Go to My Page → Language and select your preferred language. The change will take effect immediately.

Note: Explanations you've already viewed won't be automatically re-translated. The new language setting will apply to explanations for new questions you solve going forward.

Will more languages be added?

Accepted Answer

Yes! SEDA is continuously working to support more languages for our global users.

Currently, we support 11 languages based on EPS-TOPIK eligible countries: English, Nepali, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai, Khmer, Bengali, Tagalog, Urdu, Russian, and Korean.

We plan to expand based on user requests and priorities. We'll announce any updates, so feel free to send us feedback if there's a language you'd like to see!

Can I log in on multiple devices at the same time?

To protect your learning data and ensure the best experience, SEDA operates a "one account, one device" policy.

- You cannot be logged in on multiple devices simultaneously with the same account.
- If you've changed phones or need to switch devices, please log out from your previous device first, then log in on your new device.

What is the EPS-TOPIK?

The EPS-TOPIK (Employment Permit System - Test of Proficiency in Korean) evaluates the Korean language ability and understanding of Korean culture for foreign workers who wish to work in Korea through the Employment Permit System.

This test is used as an objective selection criterion for the foreign job seeker registry.

- Stay limit: Must not have stayed in Korea for 5 years or more under Non-professional Employment (E-9) or Crew Employment (E-10) visa status (combined total must be less than 5 years)
- Other: No restrictions on departure from your home country

What's the most important thing to watch out for when applying?

Your name and date of birth on the application must exactly match your passport. If there's any discrepancy, you may be denied entry to Korea even if you pass the exam—so please double-check carefully.

What should I bring on exam day, and what should I keep in mind?

You must arrive at the designated time and location with the following items:

Required items: Admission ticket, Passport (or valid ID), Signing pen, Ballpoint pen

Important notes: Mobile phones, wireless earphones, and all other electronic devices are prohibited in the exam room. If caught cheating, your exam will be invalidated, and you will be banned from taking the EPS-TOPIK for 4 years from the date of the incident.

How is the exam structured, and what score do I need?

The exam consists of Reading and Listening sections, with a total of 100 points. Successful candidates are determined by ranking within the planned selection number, with minimum score requirements varying by industry.

Minimum passing scores by industry (out of 100):
- Manufacturing & Shipbuilding: 55 points
- Other industries (Agriculture, Construction, Service, etc.): 40 points
- Fishery (Special): 27 points out of 90 (Pass/Fail)

When should I use "Mock Practice"?

"Mock Practice" is a warm-up stage before diving into full practice tests.

Use it when you've completed category practice but aren't quite ready for a timed full-length test.

Like the real exam, each section (Reading, Listening) has 20 questions, but there's no time limit—you can work at your own pace. It's useful when you need focused review on a specific section after completing category practice.

How is the "Timed mock exam" similar to the real exam?

The "Timed mock exam" recreates the actual EPS-TOPIK exam environment to help you assess your final readiness.

- 20 Reading questions + 20 Listening questions, just like the real exam
- Time limits of 25 minutes for Reading and 25 minutes for Listening
- When the Reading time ends, it automatically moves to the Listening section
- When Listening time ends, you can immediately view your results

After the test, you can instantly see whether you would pass based on the minimum score for the industry you selected during sign-up.

[What is the minimum passing score by industry?] This is the minimum score you must achieve to be included in the EPS-TOPIK successful candidate list. The Human Resources Development Service of Korea sets these minimum scores by industry. SEDA provides pass predictions based on the industry you selected (Manufacturing, Agriculture, Construction, etc.).

I want to pause in the middle of solving questions.

Currently, SEDA does not offer a mid-session save feature.

If you leave the question screen, your progress will not be saved.

We plan to add this feature soon for continuous learning, and we'll announce it when it's ready.

Question 20

How does the Daily Review cycle work?

Accepted Answer

SEDA's Daily Review provides review cycles designed to help with learning efficiency and long-term retention.

When it's time to review a question, you'll receive an app notification. This way, you won't forget to revisit questions you got wrong—without having to manually check the Wrong Answer section.

In addition, even outside of Daily Review, you can re-solve incorrect questions directly in [Activity > Wrong Answers]. Just choose the 'Daily Life' or 'Workplace' area to begin, and you can solve up to 10 questions at a time.

How is difficulty adjusted?

Currently, all SEDA questions are provided at a standard difficulty level.

We'll soon be introducing a personalized difficulty system. After a simple quick check, all practice questions (except Timed mock exam and Daily Review) will automatically match your skill level.

Question 22

I want to try harder questions right now.

Accepted Answer

Since difficulty is currently fixed, it's not possible to selectively solve harder questions.

However, once we update the system, personalized difficulty will be applied—as your skills improve, your recommended difficulty will increase, and you'll automatically receive harder questions.

We're working to bring this to you as soon as possible.

Question 23

Can I download questions or solve them offline?

Accepted Answer

We don't offer a feature to download question files directly.

However, you can review your incorrect answers even without an internet connection.

Since the data for questions you've answered incorrectly in the app is automatically saved on your device, you can continue reviewing in [Activity > Wrong Answers] even without Wi-Fi or a data connection. In addition, your learning records will sync automatically once you reconnect to the internet.

Please note, however, that solving new questions, setting notifications, checking question types, and so on do require an internet connection.

I want to reset my learning progress and start over.

Resetting your learning progress cannot be undone, so please decide carefully. Currently, there are only two ways to do this.

Method 1: Reset by deleting your account
1. You can reset on your own through [My Page > Account Settings > Delete Account].
2. When you delete your account, neither the reset records nor your account information can be recovered under our operating policy, so please decide carefully.

Method 2: Reset via email request
1. Please request a reset by email (coko@coko.kr).
2. If you include your [nickname and the social login information (email) you used to log in], we'll process it according to our procedures.

Processing takes about 3–5 days, and we'll notify you by the email you contacted us with once it's complete.

I'm experiencing an error while using the app. What should I do?

If you've encountered an error while using the SEDA app, please try the following steps first.

Basic troubleshooting:
1. Delete and reinstall the app (latest version)
2. Turn your device off and back on
3. Check whether your device's OS is updated to the latest version
4. Check whether the issue occurs on both Wi-Fi and mobile data
